VISION FOR 2016
Let’s play connect the dots…
On a board game, you can connect the dots going forward, but you can only reveal the picture once you look back. Wouldn’t that be nice if we could do that in real life.
In life, we actually have to have a picture and a vision, and then look back in order to connect the dots. Some do this so they can teach the next generation. We do it at Barbell Beast to help you learn more about yourself.
In life when we have a vision, a picture, an idea, we have to trust that the path we set out on will lead to our ultimate goal. It is when we get stuck that we start to divert and change the path.
Changing the path isn’t the problem, it is taking our eyes off our vision, and not keeping focused, not letting our passion drive us. We find the rut and stay in it, because it is comfortable or we gave up.
You stopped believing that the dots will connect down the road, and they WILL!!!!
This should give you confidence in yourself and follow your heart, your passion even if it feels like it is going off the beaten path.
That unbeaten path is EXACTLY where YOUR journey is. Our time here is limited, so why do we continually choose to live someone else’s life?!?!
Don’t let dogma stand in your way. Living by how someone else says you should be living or working is BS.
Don’t let the sound or opinions of other people shut you down. Look at Steve Jobs, the man got hit 100 times, got fired from his own company, lost so much, and yet still came out victorious. (Yes Mac fan here). But his story, journey, experience is still a principle and can be learned from.
But here is the thing; you got to find what you really LOVE. You have to have so much passion and desire to want it that you are willing to lose sleep, you are willing to grind it out thick and thin, you are willing to take on new challenges head on, learning new things, and most of all take a beating from critics. Those critics don’t understand when you have that much passion about something how much of it fills your life and pushes out other things. Your passion is your work, your work is your life, your life becomes fulfilled and easier to wake up to (without coffee) when you have passion over your vision, and the ONLY way to do that, the only way to feel that much ‘success’ is to truly LOVE what you do.
If you have no clue what that looks like, or what it is, take some time and really dig deep. Keep looking, keep feeling it out, it’ll come out and hit you like a ton of bricks. Don’t settle for something that you are kind of passionate about either. You’re inner being already knows what it wants to do or be naturally, you just have to unleash it!
FEAR – makes us old. FEAR – drives our dreams away. FEAR – is an emotional response and while we are emotional creatures, we can control our emotions and make our DREAMS a reality. Kick FEAR in the face, walk over it, and introduce yourself to your dream. This is your life; let’s make it the one you want live.
There is an old saying, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” –Helen Keller.
I am personally asking you what is your vision for 2016. Not resolution, this year we are changing the terminology just like our friends at Driven Performance Labs (formerly Dynamic Nutrition). Forget “resolution”, kick a field “goal”, this year we are changing the terminology to INTENTION! This intention will give you a vision, that vision will-in-turn help lay the building blocks and dots so that we can be successful together.
There is nothing that I like more than to help people the best way I can. Seriously! It is deeply embedded into my character makeup. If I am able to help you out, by sharing knowledge or giving you a guiding path, I will.
So lay it on me, what is your 2016 INTENTION? What is your vision?
It can be of anything. It doesn’t have to be health and fitness related.
What can I do to help you?
Don’t give up… Don’t give in… Perceiver…
I CAN, I WILL… 2016 IS YOUR YEAR!!!
